The Traitor
A Scottish Rite Drama
The men of the Guthrie Valley, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Orient of Oklahoma performed a single-act play by J. Frank Davis for the members and guests of Norman Lodge, on October 19th, 2009.
Set after the end of the revolution, during a dream of Benedict Arnold, George Washington, along with Brother Lafayette and several other prominent American and English Masons meet to honor General Washington and put the war behind them. Before long, they attempt to unravel a mystery amongst them, which culminates in a visit from Benedict Arnold himself. The intense and spirited discussion about loyalty and treason, bravery and cowardice, common good and self promotion is an exciting topic that will bring up many topics of conversation for months to come.
(If you are interested in having The Traitor performed at a Blue Lodge function, or another open meeting, contact the Guthrie Scottish Rite Business Office for scheduling.)
